I didn't even read the whole thing because you started it wrong. Kindly don't create a mess on my blog by making stupid generalizations. Try understanding what I am portraying here. I never said Huqooq Ullah are not important. You need to stop getting emotional over this and move on because you are arguing over things that I didn't even say or mean. Just one advice: appreciate others' views if you want yours to be appreciated. And try swallowing the fact that misdeeds are done by maniacs in the name of our religion. And if someone is sharing a bad experience then you should shun such people. Also refrain from quoting Ahaadees because preaching religion to believers is pointless.Quratulain Tejanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17838534851223866432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6389064525773822918.post-23430491580619765022011-12-20T01:11:18.982-08:002011-12-20T01:11:18.982-08:00Quratulain, you are trying to justify that wearing...Quratulain, you are trying to justify that wearing veil is not obligatory by quoting other people's actions which have nothing to do with your actions, You can't miss prayers because you are fulfilling "huqooq ul ibaad", all pillars of islam hold key importants and are obligatory, we don't have to be infatuated with west and try to compare us with them all the time and justify our actions to match their criteria, their society is distorted already. We should be proud of our religion which has uplifted rights of women .

Hadith - Bukhari 1:148

The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. 'Umar used to say to the Prophet "Let your wives be veiled," but Allah's Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam'a the wife of the Prophet went out at 'Isha' time and she was a tall lady. 'Umar addressed her and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda." He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of "Al-Hijab" (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).

The Noble Qur'an - Al-Ahzab 33:59

O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils)* all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

*the arabic word here is Jalabeeb (plural of Jalbaab), which is the loose outer garment that covers all a woman's body. It says here to use the Jalabeeb to cover all, and scholars say this means to use it to cover her head (agree upon by all scholars) and her face (agreed by many scholars, not all) and one or both eyes, in order for it to be known that she is a free woman and so not to be exposed to any harm.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6389064525773822918.post-74316461848866473862011-12-19T08:07:12.842-08:002011-12-19T08:07:12.842-08:00I expected such lame comments on this one since th...I expected such lame comments on this one since the word "Islam" was being used in the title but didn't know people would take just a rational blog post to their hearts, LOL :P I would like to repeat "please go and ponder over your actions first before quoting ahaadith and please refrain from preaching here". Also you don't need to mention Islamic teachings here because I am well aware of them myself. I am not against Amar-bil-Maaruf, first get that clear in your minds. I am just against the way people do it and later justify it as being the right way and the right thing to do under particular circumstances. Don't take it personally because it's very easy to pass criticisms over things that you haven't experienced yourself.

@ Sumaiya: Yes it is. And I sometimes wonder what more do we Muslims have to face collectively due to the insane actions of a niche of us that claim to be the "True Muslims"!Quratulain Tejanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17838534851223866432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6389064525773822918.post-41054872053760199892011-12-18T22:44:01.896-08:002011-12-18T22:44:01.896-08:00This havoc is a part of our ignorant societyThis havoc is a part of our ignorant societySumaiya Hasanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14365791852232898282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6389064525773822918.post-6078040665922653412011-12-17T00:43:13.411-08:002011-12-17T00:43:13.411-08:00Fair enough :) then no one should force you if its...Fair enough :) then no one should force you if its your own will, i do miss prayers often and i admit its a heinous unforgiveable sin and obligatory which in no circumtances should be missed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6389064525773822918.post-41137714796339813742011-12-16T10:14:22.001-08:002011-12-16T10:14:22.001-08:00exactly my point, whatever you are posting whether...exactly my point, whatever you are posting whether a religious ruling is not is being said in context of religion. and with this response, you have yet again implied that you need to study the BASICS first, let alone expressing such naive thoughts on sensitive issues. Refer to the Quraan, it clearly states that the status of the 'chosen ummah' has been given to us due to the attribute of 'Amar bil maaruuf wa nahi anil munkir', (ordaining whats good and preventing whats bad.) I'm not advocating that anyone could stand up and issue a religious decree and implement it on someone forcefully, but yeah the context of the case you have stated regarding that lady is perfectly genuine from a religious pov. for your understanding, I'm relating an incident from a Sahi Hadith in my own words as i dont remember the arabic wordings, you can affirm the context from any of the sahi Ahaadith books. there used to be a nation where each and every one was a disbeliever and sinner except one man who was extremely pious in contrast to the people around him. finally Allah s.w.t sent an angel to doom the people with curses and ordered the angel to start with that pious man. the angel asked in surprise that he is the only one who obeyed and believed in you. Allah s.w.t replied: Not for a day did his face change color or he reacted in anger responding to the disbelieve that was prevailing around him. So ending on this note that for God's sake have some mercy on yourself and all those idiots who would buy anything that just seems to fit in their limited scope of understanding. Religious issues are not your thing, you'll keep on ending up with such half baked senseless write ups.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6389064525773822918.post-70820077234983403002011-12-16T09:48:15.025-08:002011-12-16T09:48:15.025-08:00Exactly the kind of people I was talking about, lo...Exactly the kind of people I was talking about, lol. You people take things too personally when it comes to Islam and judge others even before trying to understand what they are saying. Through this blog post I wasn't passing any fatwa or justifying my actions. I was just saying that I am solely responsible for my actions and no one (even my parents) has the right to tell me what I should do and what not. I am baaligh and mature enough to decide what and how I want to practice. I and only I, am accountable for my actions to Allah.Quratulain Tejanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17838534851223866432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6389064525773822918.post-10238775681941688152011-12-15T11:42:38.426-08:002011-12-15T11:42:38.426-08:00There is a fine line between Tehrik e Taliban and ...There is a fine line between Tehrik e Taliban and Afghan Taliban, Jihadi is a misleading term used in the wrong context to malign islam and muslims, people must know what Jihad stands for first before misusing it, All prophets of Allah did Jihad, could you enlighten me which one are you referring to, there are 6 categories according to my knowledge. As far as covering head is concerned it is the law of Allah, but i admit your parents didn't raise you this way so you are finding it pretty hard to adopt because of our glamorous society and so called liberals emerging and media brainwashing, If you don't like drawing veil because you admit its your fault and you have tough time overcoming this issue then its something else but if you go against drawing veil then you are disobeying commandment of Allah, and Allah knows your faith the best, but as far as my knowledge says if you disobey 1 word in Quran you are out of Islam, because you are doubting your creator. Forget what others are doing, everyone will be held accountable for their own actions, if you dont offer prayer then you cant justify this by blaming other muslims, its obligatory and you are a grown up girl. there are many israeli bought Mullah propagating false information of Islam i know but you can always get right information by reading Quran Tafseer and do some research from authentic scholars on the internet. Rest Allah knows the best.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6389064525773822918.post-80011972515022117112011-12-15T10:06:26.698-08:002011-12-15T10:06:26.698-08:00hahahhahaha........mighty confused you are, aren&#...hahahhahaha........mighty confused you are, aren't you? you started with whether the head covering practice ought to be imposed or not and later on diverted to a set of irrelevant cases.....lady i appreciate your enthusiasm to write but think before speaking about issues you know nothing but a couple incidents based on someone's personal prejudices. you never consult a non-mbbs for medical advice and in the same way, you simply don't deserve the right to pass these childish rulings. ps: before responding, just try to remember, do you even know the 6 kalmaaz?
